Why you should always wear a HELMET

Please always wear this when riding a bike or long boarding...and this is why.Saturday morning Larry and a friend decided to go long boarding up Provo Canyon. They were going pretty fast and were kneeling on their boards and holding them. Larry was in front and his friend was behind him. They came up to a blind corner where you pick up some speed. As they turned the corner 2 bikers that were side by side and taking up the whole trail were coming right at them. It startled one of the bikers and he turned INTO Larry...not away from him. Larry's face slammed right into his bike. His face is pretty much what stopped the bikes. It was a HUGE collision...broken glasses from everyone...broken bikes...blood...I think you get it. Some how though...Larry was able to walk away not SERIOUSLY hurt. Trust me...he was hurting and my mom took him to Insta Care to make sure his head was okay (Thanks mom!). But it could've been a lot worse. Someone was looking out for him that's for sure. Larry showed up to my work looking like this...
(Look at the goose egg on the back of his head)

All I can say is...wear a helmet...PLEASE. Even if you do everything you can to stay in control...someone else might come along that is not in control. No one was wearing a helmet and a lot of the injuries could've been avoided. I'm very thankful Larry is okay and the swelling on his head has gone down so much. Be careful everyone!!

Okay, we already went to one funeral, we don't need you to do anything to end up like that too. Dude, I am soo glad you are okay. Stay out of trouble. Listen to your wonderful wife and let her take care of you. By the way, Tyler would so be making fun of you right now.

Crazy. I didn't notice the goose egg until you pointed it out. It all looks painful. Glad to see he is ok. My dad's best friend died on a scooter when they were teenagers mainly because he didn't have a helmet on. My dads only rule in our house was if you get a tatoo or a motorcycle/scooter don't come home!
